A vintage Victorian mourning brooch in old brass with a little girl’s photo. Sepia tone on possibly ceramic or porcelain, similar to tombstone portraiture of the era. This small pin brooch is a sad reminder of past mourning practices.
This piece is very nice in good vintage condition, most likely antique in age. A brass wrapped frame holds a small circular portrait. Very old, but still functional C-clasp in back completes the look. This piece is perfect for the collector, for authentic costume design detail or gothic and Victorian cosplay.
Brooch is small, sized at approx. 3/4″across with a slightly raised profile. The ‘stone’ portrait is prong-set from the back.
Sold as found, in good pre-owned and vintage/antique condition with some surface wear. Item has been wiped gently with a clean cloth – any additional cleaning is at the discretion of the buyer.
