Description
C-Clasp. Black faceted glass. Suppose to be Civil War era or older but I have no proof, so you be the judge. Guaranteed old- not repro. Measures approx. 2 1/2″ x 1 3/8″. Large black oval stone is approx. 7/8″ x 5/8″ and domed. Has 6 Small, approx. 1/8″ round black glass stones. All stones are faceted. Unknown what metal is. Looks like acorns, Oak leaves & pods. I have not tried to polish – original patina- I do not think it is silver or gold, but a nice mourning brooch. Metal rim, not prongs, holds the stones in.
